Migrant Workers Support Association Uganda (MWSAU) is a Ugandan migrant worker support organization created to protect, support and empower Ugandans working abroad.
MWSAU provides free membership registration, member numbers, emergency reporting, basic support, welfare coordination, advocacy, guidance and a secure member dashboard for Ugandan migrant workers before, during and after their employment journey abroad.
Every year, thousands of Ugandans travel abroad seeking better employment opportunities. While many succeed, others face exploitation, workplace abuse, unpaid wages, detention, medical emergencies, deportation, repatriation challenges or become stranded without immediate support.
MWSAU was created to provide an organized support system that connects migrant workers with emergency coordination, welfare assistance, advocacy, trusted guidance and family communication support when help is needed most.
To protect and support Ugandan migrant workers abroad through free membership, emergency coordination, welfare support, advocacy, information sharing and trusted guidance.
A future where every Ugandan working abroad is connected to a reliable support system and can access assistance, dignity and protection in times of need.
Ugandan migrant workers can join MWSAU free of charge and receive a membership number and dashboard access.
Members can report emergencies such as abuse, detention, illness, deportation issues or repatriation needs.
Members may optionally upgrade for an official certificate, Welfare Fund participation and additional verified member benefits.
A solidarity fund created to provide limited assistance to members during genuine emergencies, subject to fund rules and availability.
We provide information, guidance and stakeholder coordination where a migrant worker needs support.
Through MWSAU International Services, we also assist foreign nationals, investors, NGOs and international organizations operating in Uganda.
In addition to supporting Ugandan migrant workers abroad, MWSAU operates Global Services, a professional division that assists foreign nationals, expatriates, investors, NGOs, diplomats and international businesses coming to, living in or operating in Uganda.
These services include immigration and relocation support, business and investment assistance, property and real estate support, corporate services, legal documentation coordination, and emergency or investigation assistance.
